Hi, I'm Ava :)
I am a multi-disciplinary software engineer, artist, and activist based in New York City.
I recently finished up a batch at the Recurse Center, an educational retreat for curious programmers looking to refine their technical skills. Before that I worked part-time as a Product Engineer at Step Up Tutoring supporting the development of SideKick.
I studied Neuroscience and Political Science at the University of Arizona and spent the beginning of my career as an advocacy professional lobbying for public funds for supplemental education programs in New York City Public Schools.
In my free time, I enjoy playing piano, crocheting, and creating graphic art.
